A. Disposable bottled water produces plastic that is non-biodegradable. The cost for plastic bottle cleanup is exorbitant and is not being addressed by private industry or government authorities. Why support the bottled water industry that is not required to provide third party testing and certification of water consumed by the public, nor are they required under any government regulation to meet NSF standards 42 and 53 for aesthetics and health effects?
In addition, the bottled water industry produce 2.5 million tons of CO2 and 1.5 million tons of plastic globally that will pollute the earth and affect future generations.
